Graduate Research Projects

  1. Ultrasound immersion testing of additive components
  2. In-situ quality control of polymer/composite AM
  3. CT Scanning of additive-manufactured components 

Graduate Research Assistants:

Graduate Research Assistants are given the opportunity to work with University faculty & NNSA scientists on the 3 designated research topics listed above in order to gain valuable hands-on experience, in-depth knowledge, and expertise. 

Program Perks

  • Paid for 10-20/hrs per week.
  • Paid tuition
  • Co-advised by professional scientists from a national lab partner.
  • Eligibility for summer internships and/or fellowships at DOE national labs.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering at NMSU or PVAMU.
  • US Citizenship
  • 3.0 GPA
